The Paris Sheiks
Joining me on 1920's rural Americana, old-time and country rags is Ilan Moss, Dominique Depret and Stephen Harrison. We have just recently started wrangling tunes in Paris and are having a great time playing the musical treasors found on old 78rpm records. To listen to us here is sample what we're playing!

Castles and Ghosts
Me and Angus Aird have had the pleasure to create, in collaboration with the Jeunesse Musicales de France, a concert for the French national education board on the history of Scottish music. As it is for kids in elementary school, we've had fun mixing humor, music, stage gags, dancing and general high jinks into one rollicking bundle which keeps them on our side! Angus is even willing to have a go at playing the pipes (but we're not sure how to tune them). We've played over 310 concerts all over France for more then 63,000 kids! The most successful kids show in France.

Au Diable Merlin!
Told here in the tradition of true storytelling (in French), Breton's Sophie Joignant weaves an hour long spell of mystery, history, dream and fable that creates a unique experience for the listener. I had the pleasure to write and perform the music for this collaboration, inspired by the Breton music traditions and celtic fiddling, I have tried to become part of the story with the fiddle. We have performed this show live many times, in France and Switzerland, it brings us great pleasure to have on CD. A perfect way to polish up your French! +Learn more |
